SPITTING IMAGE PUPPET RESTORATION

 

This is an original Margaret Thatcher Spitting Image puppet head which came to me from a private collector.

 

The puppet head needed attention on her neck where the foam was rotting and the paint was flaking away. She also needed a stand to hold the heavy head in position and prevent any sagging which would cause distortion. 

 

I restored Mrs Thatcher to be sympathetic to its authentic condition, maintaining the original features and paint work and ageing the restored areas appropriately.
